The comedy plot unfolds around two totally different families – the Drahomanovys, who work in the cultural sector, and the Nalyvaichenkos, who are local entrepreneurs. On a warm spring weekend, they decide on a traditional getaway with some grills and barbecue, but fate brings all of them on the same clearing, which each family considers “their own”. A quarrel ignites between them, quickly transforming into a grotesque "war" over a barbecue place. All of a sudden, the third contender for the clearing arrives. This is a corrupt fugitive, who has hidden his money on the same clearing. He takes the youngest kids from both families hostage and demands his money back, as it is missing from the stash.
Gimmicks, tricks, and showdown, adventures, unexpected guests, and crazy money, different views not only on the recipes for barbecue marinade but also on “the right way to live”. This story tells us that no matter how different we are and how loud we quarrel; in the face of a common threat we stand united.
